Free, fun digital skills sessions for seniors!
Gunnedah Community College is delivering funded technology training to help seniors develop their digital skills and benefit from being online and connected no matter where they live, how old they are or what their interests are!
The popular Tech Savvy Seniors digital skills training aims to help older Australians, particularly those in regional and remote areas of New South Wales, develop the skills and confidence to use technology to stay connected with their families, friends and communities.
Campus Coordinator Lena Curran is thrilled to be helping seniors get tech savvy through the Tech Savvy Seniors program:
“You’re never too old to learn! The NSW Government’s partnership with the State Library of NSW and Telstra is an excellent example of government and the business community working together to increase opportunities for seniors and support our ageing population. The college can provide an ideal environment for the Tech Savvy Seniors workshops to take place where seniors will be guided by our experienced trainers to explore and connect with technology at their own pace.”
“Seniors over 60, and Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander seniors over 50, who are keen to improve their digital skills are welcome to enrol in the funded Tech Savvy Seniors workshops starting Friday May 13 running from 9am to 12pm for 8 weeks.”
Digital skills sessions may cover [introduction to using computers/ tablets, using the internet and social media, introduction to email and how to stay safe online. Call us on 67 425630]or visit us at 39 Chandos Street for more info or to book your spot.
