Gunnedah Shire Council are seeking sponsorship partners for the 2022 Gunnedah Community Scholarship, this is your opportunity to support the program in its 20th year.
The Community Scholarship Fund was set up in 2002 to help Gunnedah Shire student’s access tertiary education and vocational training opportunities following their high school education. The fund is open to all students wanting to further their training and education at university, TAFE, or an accredited training organisation.
Since the funds inception nineteen years ago more than 385 scholarships have been awarded to local students, with over $370,000 raised and distributed across the Shire.
The fund has helped create doctors, graphic designers, teachers, IT specialists, youth officers, social workers and more, with many returning to Gunnedah to practice their skills.
With the ongoing impact of COVID-19, opportunities to host fundraising events have been limited; however there is still an opportunity to make a financial contribution directly to the Gunnedah Community Scholarship Fund.
All funds raised go directly towards providing educational opportunities for Gunnedah youth through the scholarship fund.
Due to COVID restrictions this year our opportunities to actively fundraise or seek donations have been limited. If your organisation is interesting in becoming a partner contact Council’s Youth Services team on 6740 2100 or email@example.com
