Inland Rail to hold Gunnedah session

People interested in employment or supply opportunities for the new Inland Rail have been invited to an information session in Gunnedah.

Contractors for Phase 1 Narrabri North to North Star, Trans4M Rail (a joint venture between John Holland and SEE Civil) will host a Meet the Contractor information session for people to learn more about how to get involved with the project.

Information session details:

  • Date: Monday, December 14 from 12 noon to 2pm
  • Location: Smithurst Theatre, cnr of Conadilly and Chandos streets, Gunnedah.

The project team is looking to fill a number of roles from the region, including local construction, operation, communication and maintenance roles, including: project/site engineers, OHS advisors, community engagement officers, office administrators, document controller, labourers, machine operators, surveyors, concretors and steelfixers.

The team will also source local plant, equipment, materials and people to support rail works, roadworks, earthworks, bridge and drainage construction.

VendorPanel Marketplace Training Session for Suppliers

The training webinar will give you an insight into how to register as a supplier on VendorPanel Marketplace.

Marketplace is free and available to all suppliers with an Australian business number and public liability insurance. Once registered, suppliers can receive invitations to quote on Council project work across dozens of categories.

New platform helps Gunnedah Shire Council shop local

Gunnedah Shire Council has more opportunities to work with local businesses following the introduction of an innovative digital marketplace.

VendorPanel is a purchasing and procurement platform that allows local businesses to register for a broad range of Council tenders.

VendorPanel Marketplace then uses geolocation to help Council staff pinpoint businesses that Council can collaborate with.

The platform is free and available to all suppliers with an Australian business number and public liability insurance. Once registered, suppliers can receive invitations to quote on work across dozens of categories.

The platform provides suppliers with direct access to procurement opportunities and suppliers can elect to receive SMS or email notifications for upcoming tenders.
